The Company (CSM Baltija) has begun its operations in Latvia in April 2003 It was incorporated for the purpose of pre-selecting, recruiting, processing and documenting seamen of seafarers from Former Soviet Union for the operation of our Principals worldwide.
It started by providing direct crewing services to Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd in Limassol, Cyprus and on the later stage to Columbia Shipmanagement GmbH, Germany.
By now company is fully established and provide crewing services and support to other Columbia regional offices in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Singapore, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Norway, United Kingdom and in the Netherlands.
As from the year 2011 a joint – venture was signed between Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd, Cyprus and leading Greek Shipowner TSAKOS creating a new legal entity and namely Greek-based Shipmanagement company which acts under the name of TSAKOS-Columbia.
CSM Baltija being part of Columbia Shipmanagement is fully committed to strict safety standards in its daily operation and to provide highest level of services both to seafarers and to Principals, i.e. to Columbia Shipmanagement and to Columbia’ clients.
CSM Baltija hopes to achieve its goal of being one of the country’s leading suppliers of qualified and competent seafarers in the Shipping Industry.
Our experienced Recruitment Team is constantly looking for the right calibre candidates to satisfy needs of Columbia Shipmanagement and its clients. Because our Recruitment Superintendents are working only with limited number of clients their superior knowledge of client’s requirements gives you a head start with your new carrier by constant use of all open positions and with support of our extensive database of qualified seafarers and of our large network of regional crewing offices.
CSM Baltija Recruitment Superintendents upon receiving properly filled in Crew Data Sheet and registering it in our database will try to match all available open positions against your personal qualifications, experience on a particular type of ships and all other available professional information. They will also constantly search through candidates’ database and then will contact appropriate candidate to establish their interest and suitability for an open vacancy.
